
The Hottest Events for Sampling This Year
As the end of February approaches we are dreaming of blue skies and warm weather of the summer ahead. It’s also the perfect time to plan your summer marketing activity with product sampling in mind.
This summer is set to be a big one with a number of ‘one-off’ events happening which will draw huge footfall to UK cities. Whilst out enjoying summer events consumers are relaxed with a more open mind so it’s the perfect opportunity to offer them something new and build memorable connections with them.
King’s Coronation
One special event happening on 6th May is the King’s Coronation, not only is this bringing us another bank holiday in May but it will attract thousands of people into London across the long weekend. With a broad consumer demographic set to be in the city there is opportunity to run cost effective sampling campaigns especially via Guerrilla or Train Station routes.
Guerrilla sampling includes an agile team who can move around easily to ensure they hit the high footfall areas, there is also no site fee attached to this style of sampling so a limited budget can still deliver great results. Train Station sampling offers very high footfall and is great to sample pre-packaged products such as canned drinks or snack bars, on a busy day you could expect to distribute up to 25,000 samples at a large train station site.

Eurovision
The following week we head up to Liverpool where the Eurovision Song Contest is being held this year due to the war in Ukraine. The event is set to attract thousands of visitors from both the UK and abroad with it being especially popular amongst the LGBQT+ community.
Similarly to the King’s Coronation this event will work well for either Guerrilla or Train Station sampling. There are also multiple opportunities for fixed site sampling at the venue, Liverpool One. Paying for a fixed site allows brands to include an experience and engagement piece, encouraging consumer dwell time and cementing a positive memory.
